Now im back in France and these damn keyboards are a pain. Algeria was good but sad as well. I was very happy to see my grandma and the whole family together because i know there was some problems brewing there and i didnt want to be in the middle of them. The whole time i was in algeria all i did was sleep to get better because i have been very sick with an infection and go to the pool two days in a row. So i guess you could say that Algeria was kinda like a resting point. Jessica did good in France my dad was here for two of the days i was in Algeria so he hung out with her and they did some stuff but she was also sick. I was just very bored in Algeria and i know i had a purpose going there so i cant be complaining because it was for my grandma. I visited Umu Said at his new home and it was just magnificient. I took pictures and the way i would describe this house is like when you walk in you dont feel like you are in algeria. He has all the newest and coolest stuff and the most beautiful furniture that he bought in the South of France. I think my stay in Algeria was just long enough because towards the end all the kids started to drive me crazy. On the last day I was there i went to the grave site to see my Grandpa's grave also to see my Uncle's. It was very sad i cried alot and when we were there i had to cover myself before i went to the grave because Farida told me its for respect. That was the first time i ever did that. Also before we went we bought 100 croissant and gave them to all the poor people around the cemetery. The whole cemetery part was the most interesting to me because it really showed how they handle death in the Muslim religion. For example; when you bury somebody you must face them east which is towards Mecca, you must also put two headstones facing each other if they are male and three if they are female. When you go to visit the grave you kiss your hand and then place it on the headstone. The whole tomb that is surrounded by tile is not built until the 40th day so until then it is still freshly dug dirt.
As for my french it is doing very well better than i thought i would do. I carried conversations with everybody and i forget words here and there but then i can explain it in french to save myself. So now that i'm in Paris i almost feel like its home because i know it so well and i have tons of family around me and im not at a hostel. Karim is with me so it makes it alot better to have him here. We have done lots of site seeing and are going to do alot more. Everything here is alot cheaper too which makes me very happy because in London the pound is times 2 the american dollar. The things we have seen so far are as follows: le concorde, le louvre, tuileries gardens, walked down the La Seine and the Champs Elysée, went to the latin quater, and today we are going to Les Invalides and Pompidou. Today ate 5 o'clock in the morning me and Jessica walked to Sacre Coeur and just looked at the view from there. You can see all of Paris from those stairs. It is so beautiful. I'm definitely starting to miss things and people especially when i'm sick. My mom knows that when i'm sick i really miss having her there to check up on me and i miss Jim's little remedies he makes for me. I miss Wal mart, pizza, GOOD american music, and customer service. But europe is an experience and i'm loving it!
